Black Falcon’s trio of prominent sim racing personalities will return to the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2026, in a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Alvarez Brown and Misha Charoudin, joined by 2016 Nürburgring 24 Hours winner Manuel Metzger, will compete in the AT2 class for cars powered by alternative fuel, under the Black Falcon Team Fanatec banner. Their #632 Porsche will run in the ADAC 24H Nürburgring, as well as Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie events, including this weekend’s NLS season opener, NLS2, NLS4 and NLS5.
The trio have raced with Black Falcon since 2023, with the backing of Bilstein. A part-season in the NLS that year, aboard a BMW 330i, saw them earn their Permit A, and enabled a move to SP8T with a BMW M4 GT4 in 2024.
Alongside Metzger, the trio won five NLS races in SP8T across two seasons, and also twice finished as runner-up in class in the 24H Nürburgring – although Brown missed the 2024 edition of the 24-hour race. The programme ended after the 2025 NLS season, without any confirmed plans for this year. However, new commercial backing, including the arrival of sim racing peripheral manufacturer Fanatec (which was acquired by Corsair in 2024), has enabled them not only to return, but also to upgrade to the Porsche.
The car will compete in AT2, but run in a similar specification to those in the spec Porsche 911 GT3 Cup class, CUP2. Differences between the #632 Porsche and its CUP2 counterparts will include the use of a sustainable fuel, Dunlop (as opposed to Michelin) as a tyre supplier, and the fitting of some different parts.
“We’re still running [Bilstein] suspension, that’s part of the reason we’re in the AT class this year,” Broadbent said on his YouTube channel for the programme reveal.
“We’re allowed to change a couple of components,” Charoudin stated in his own video. “One of them is going to be a wing, that is going to be developed out of sustainable materials.”
The 2026 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie begins this weekend, with the 2026 ADAC 24H Nürburgring scheduled to take place on 14–17 May 2026.
