FIAWEC+, the new streaming platform of the FIA World Endurance Championship, has officially been launched online today.
FIAWEC+ offers a significant overhaul from the previous FIA WEC TV offering, with new features including Live Timing Pro, and bespoke ‘WEC Insider’ and ‘WEC Originals’ content. The first episode of this will focus on Genesis’ preparations for its Hypercar debut, and be available to all FIAWEC+ users, with future episodes exclusively for 365 Pass holders.
Furthermore, live FIA WEC coverage will no longer be geo-blocked, meaning fans from countries such as the USA can now use FIAWEC+ to watch qualifying and race broadcasts.
As was the case previously, FIAWEC+ will comprise of live timing for all FIA WEC sessions, as well as live streaming from Free Practice 3 onwards at regular events, and for every race week session of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The service will also stream European Le Mans Series and Michelin Le Mans Cup rounds, replacing last year’s YouTube distribution.
All content on FIAWEC+ can be purchased through the annual 365 Pass, which costs €49.99, whilst individual FIA WEC race passes cost €9.99, with the 24 Hours of Le Mans listed at €19.99. ELMS and Le Mans Cup events can be viewed free of charge.
Today’s online launch of FIAWEC+ will soon be followed by the release of an app on Android and Apple devices.
