BRM Reveals World Challenge Australia Line-Ups

Audi Sport customer team Team BRM has confirmed plans for an expanded entry into GT World Challenge Australia for 2026.

The returning Mark Rosser is set to contest the full season in Pro/Am aboard the #246 R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, with regular co-driver Alex Peroni expected to join him for the majority of the campaign. However, an injury has forced Peroni out of next weekend’s season opener at Phillip Island, where Tickford Racing Supercars driver Thomas Randle will join the team in his place.

BRM has also added the Wolfbrook-backed #88 Pro/Am R8 LMS GT3 Evo II to its entry for this year, with Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks switching from fellow Audi squad Melbourne Performance Centre.

Wood and Brooks finished fourth in Pro-Am last season, despite missing a round, and scored four runner-up finishes. Rosser and Peroni, meanwhile, won at Queensland Raceway and The Bend last season, although a lack of other top results prevented them from challenging for the Pro/Am drivers’ title.

“I’m really excited to get the season underway at Phillip Island,” Rosser said.

“We were strong here last year, so it’s a great place to start, and I’m looking forward to building on that performance. It’s obviously unfortunate not to have Alex for the opening rounds, but we’re very fortunate to have Tom step in – he’s a quality driver and brings great experience.”

“It’s been a busy lead-in for the team after Bathurst, with a last-minute effort to get the car ready, but everyone’s done a fantastic job to have us on track. As always, the goal is to fight for strong results and ultimately the championship, and with tracks like Phillip Island and The Bend suiting us, we’re hoping to start the season on the front foot.”

Brooks commented: “To have Ryan Wood in the car, being the Supercars driver he is, he is helping me improve my driving and I’m really looking forward to sharing a few laughs this year with him, the rest of the team, and also other competitors.

“Phillip Island last year on the test day, I put it in the wall, then Ryan in Practice 1 also put it in the wall, so we got our crashes out of the way last year, so this year we’re going to stay focused. We hope to be at the pointy end of the field. We ended up fourth last year while missing a round, and this year we have committed to the whole season to get in there and hopefully take out the championship.”

The 2026 GT World Challenge Australia season begins with GT Festival Phillip Island on 27th to 29th March 2026.
