Circuit of the Americas hosts the second round of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season, where 22 cars are on the provisional entry list for this Sunday’s three-hour main race.
GT World America’s venture to COTA is bolstered by three new entries, including the much-anticipated debut of Rebel Rock Racing and its #71 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo. Perennial challengers in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, Frank Depew and Robin Liddell, will spearhead Rebel Rock’s new venture into full-time GT3 competition, competing in a loaded Pro-Am category.
Also joining Pro-Am is a surprise return for Triarsi Competizione, whose GT3 racing journey began in GT World America just a few short years ago. The Orlando-based team returns with the #18 Ferrari 296 GT3, piloted by Ferrari Challenge driver Sebastian Mascaro, and top Ferrari GT driver Riccardo Agostini.
Kellymoss’ #88 Porsche 911 GT3 R of John Gilliland and Loek Hartog gets another chance to launch its 2026 Pro-Am campaign after withdrawing from Sonoma due to a testing crash.
Meanwhile, the Am class finally gets a second entry as Mad Joker by Lone Star Racing turns up for its home race. Marc Austin and Jason Golan will drive LSR’s #11 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO.
These additions will offset Chicago Performance & Tuning’s #64 Lamborghini skipping this round due to a lack of available drivers, and we should also expect Chouest Povoledo Racing’s #50 Corvette to only run in practice.

In addition to GT World America, COTA is also the site of Pirelli GT4 America’s headlining race, the three-hour Lone Star Enduro on Saturday evening. 28 cars have entered for the second race meeting of the year.
In the opening round at Sonoma, RAFA Racing’s #68 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Westin Workman and Tyler Gonzalez swept both 60-minute sprint races. RAFA Racing won last year’s GT4 Lone Star Enduro, and the two Toyota-backed young drivers appear to be the favourites to repeat at COTA out of the seven-car Silver class.
BMW has been strong in the last two Lone Star Enduros at COTA, however, with back-to-back wins in the Pro-Am and Am classes. BimmerWorld Racing’s Tyler McQuarrie has a chance to go for three in a row, alongside his new co-driver, Michael Petramalo, in the #38 BMW M4 GT4 EVO.
Currently, it’s Matt Travis and Matheus Leist who lead the Pro-Am standings in their #47 NOLASPORT Porsche; Travis and Leist won Race 1 and finished fourth in Race 2 behind class winners Sam Craven and Kenton Koch in the #94 Random Vandals Racing BMW.
Random Vandals also leads the Am standings after Judson Holt and Ross Stripling swept both Sonoma races in the #188 BMW. BimmerWorld owner/driver James Clay won the Am class at COTA last year, and for 2026, he is now joined in the #36 BMW by James Walker Jnr, a two-time Pro-Am winner in the Lone Star Enduro.
In addition, actor/racer Frankie Muniz hopes to build on a successful first weekend of GT4 racing that yielded a runner-up finish in the Am class on his Sonoma debut. Muniz drives the #30 TechSport Racing Ford Mustang GT4 alongside Tyler Stone.
Other notable competitors include perennial fan-favourite Ryan Eversley (#03 Precision Racing LA), fourth-generation driver Loni Unser (#24 Kellymoss), reigning Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion Ryan Yardley (#25 ACI Motorsports), and reigning Michelin Pilot Challenge champion Luca Mars (#028 RS1) – just to name a few!
