Inter Europol Competition has revealed that Porsche factory driver Nico Müller will join the team for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Swiss racer will compete in its #343 ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2 alongside Bijoy Garg and Reshad De Gerus, who run as a duo in the European Le Mans Series.
Müller last raced in LMP2 in 2022, when he contested four rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Vector Sport, including making his debut at Le Mans.
At the end of 2022, the 34-year-old made the switch to Peugeot TotalEnergies, where he spent two seasons racing its 9X8 Hypercar. His most recent sportscar start came at the 2025 6 Hours of Spa, with a one-off appearance for current employer Porsche, who he races with in Formula E.
“I’m super excited to be joining Inter Europol Competition alongside Bijoy and Reshad for what is the biggest race of the year,” Müller said.
“The 24 Hours of Le Mans is always very high on every driver’s list, and it’s great to be heading back there. Having competed at Le Mans in both Hypercar and LMP2 before, I’m excited to fight for the win in LMP2 with my teammates. It’s also fantastic to be working with such a successful team at Le Mans, and I’m ready to give it everything.”
Team principal Sascha Fassbender commented: “I’m very happy to confirm Nico as our third driver for Le Mans. With our full-season line-up of Bijoy and Reshad, we have already shown that they are a strong duo. Adding Nico for Le Mans gives us a very strong line-up and the possibility to have two competitive cars, both able to fight for the win. I’m really looking forward to it.”
The #343 ORECA will form part of a two-car effort from Inter Europol Competition at this year’s race, as the team seeks to win the LMP2 category for the third time in four years. 2025 victors Tom Dillmann, Jakub Smiechowski and Nick Yelloly will defend their win together in the sister #43 ORECA.
The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held on 10th to 14th June 2026.
