Porsche and McLaren GTP/ Hypercar driver Laurens Vanthoor looks set to complete 10 laps at tomorrow’s Le Mans 24 Hours Test Day in a United Autosports Oreca.
The Belgian racer, who will already be on-site for other duties next week, will prepare in case the British-based team requires a reserve. It also creates an ideal opportunity to further build relationships with the squad that he will continue testing with, as they develop the new McLaren MCL-HY Hypercar ahead of a 2027 WEC debut.
His McLaren duties in 2026 will sit alongside his current Porsche factory duties in IMSA before 2027 sees him race a Porsche’s Endurance driver in IMSA alongside full-season Hypercar duties with Mclaren.
