BMW squad Paradine Competition has finalised it line-up for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Spa, with the addition of David Pittard, Leyton Fourie and Ian Aguilera to its two-car assault.
Pittard and Fourie will join Darren Leung and James Kellett in the Bronze Cup-entered #991 M4 GT3 Evo, whilst Ian Aguilera will share Paradine’s Silver Cup #992 BMW with Christian Hahn, Josh Rowledge and Jop Rappange.
2023 Nürburgring 24 Hours winner Pittard is racing for KCMG at the Nürburgring, and KPX Motorsport in GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, this season. The Briton, who finished fourth overall at this event in 2024, failed to start last year following an accident for his Walkenhorst Motorsport-run Aston Martin in Superpole.
“I’ve worked with the Paradine crew and Darren for the past 18 months off track, so I’m looking forward to getting to work on track at the highlight of the year, Spa 24 Hours!” Pittard said.
“Darren is currently driving extremely well in all his championships, James has been showing fantastic pace all year at the Dubai 24 & GTWC, and Leyton joins the team as ADAC GT Masters championship leader, so I’m in good company.”
20-year-old Fourie is set to make his 24 Hours of Spa debut. The South African currently leads the ADAC GT Masters, a series in which he finished as runner-up last season, after winning the most recent race at the Lausitzring last weekend.
Aguilera, meanwhile, is making his Spa debut off the back of his first 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this month. The 19-year-old Mexican, traditionally a prototype driver, has to go back to his two-year run in Ginetta Juniors in 2021 and ’22 for his last GT racing experience.
Team owner Leung commented: “The 24 Hours of Spa is the biggest event on our calendar. The Prologue last month went well for us, so we return in good spirits. I’m confident about our chances with the lineup we have assembled. It consists of a good mix of talent and experience.
“I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Leyton and Ian, who join us for the first time. They both have a good track record and I’m sure they will be a good fit. David, for his part, has proven that he has what it takes to deliver in big races, which is a great asset. This race hasn’t been too kind to us in recent years, which only makes us more motivated to secure a good result this time around.”
The 2026 24 Hours of Spa, the third round of both the Intercontinental GT Challenge and GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, will be held on 25th to 28th June.
