BMW M Motorsport has unveiled a special livery for the #24 BMW M Team WRT Hybrid V8, to be used in this weekend’s Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America.
Promoting the worldwide release of the new film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the #24 BMW of Dries Vanthoor and Sheldon van der Linde will carry a bit more red, and a different shade of dark blue, for the six-hour event, as well as the iconic silhouette of Peter Parker’s alter-ego.
Vanthoor and van der Linde are each coming off of recent victories in the FIA World Endurance Championship: Van der Linde took BMW’s first Hypercar victory in the 6 Hours of Spa, and Vanthoor won the most recent 6 Hours of São Paulo earlier this month.
The pair haven’t quite found the same success in IMSA’s GTP category this year, but a consistent campaign to-date means they enter the final three races in sixth in the championship, as they head to a venue where BMW scored a 1-2 finish last season.
The livery forms part of a larger partnership between BMW and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and is set to add another one-off scheme to the GTP field this weekend. Porsche Penske Motorsport’s pair of 963s are also running in special liveries, in their case celebrating the history of Team Penske and Porsche Motorsport.
The 2026 Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America will take place on 31st July to 2nd August 2026.
