Vasser Sullivan Switches To Backup #14 Car After Practice Accident

Vasser Sullivan Racing is switching its #14 Lexus RC F GT3 entry to a backup car following an accident in Practice 2 this morning.

During the session, Jack Hawksworth spun at the exit of turn six and made contact with the concrete wall, inflicting what the team describes as “significant chassis damage” to the primary car (pictured above).

The #14 crew immediately began preparing its backup chassis in the hope of making an attempt to run in Qualifying later this afternoon.

Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat came into the weekend having won the last two IMSA races at Watkins Glen and CTMP (formerly Mosport).
