McLaren Trophy America’s 2027 calendar has been unveiled, with a five-event, 10-race schedule that will see the championship feature on the bill of four major championships in its first season sanctioned by IMSA.
The varied calendar includes races on Formula 1, IndyCar, IMSA and FIA WEC events at five circuits.
The 2027 season will begin at a new circuit for the championship, Barber Motorsports Park, where McLaren Trophy America will join the IndyCar race weekend for the opening two rounds.
It will then visit Miami and race on the F1 Grand Prix weekend, before heading to Watkins Glen International in June and VIR in August to race on the IMSA support bill. The final pair of races will then take place at CoTA, ahead of WEC’s six-hour Lone Star Le Mans race in September.
“2027 is shaping up to be an exceptional season for McLaren Trophy America. Returning to the Formula 1 weekend in Miami is undoubtedly one of the highlights, and we are equally excited to open the season alongside IndyCar at Barber and conclude it with the FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of The Americas,” Giorgio Sanna, the head of motorsport at McLaren Automotive, said.
“Our new partnership with IMSA is another hugely important step for the championship. The 2027 calendar offers exactly the kind of experience McLaren Trophy America was created to deliver.”
