Ferrari has announced that in its Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli one-make series will debut a new endurance format in 2027 for three of the seven rounds on the European-based calendar, as well as in the North American series.
In Europe, the events at Misano, Hockenheim and Valencia will feature two races of 40 minutes plus one lap, with a mandatory pit stop window between minutes 15 and 25, allowing for driver changes.
The traditional format, meanwhile, will remain in place at the other events: Misano, Donington, Spa-Francorchamps and the round held during the Finali Mondiali.
Points will be awarded differently under the two formats, with rounds counting towards the Endurance standings carrying greater weight.
The endurance format also be introduced in Ferrari Challenge North America, though it has not yet been determined which events will feature the new duration.
