The latest tribute livery for Team WRT’s #69 BMW M4 GT3, driven by Anthony McIntosh, Parker Thompson and Dan Harper, has been revealed ahead of the 6 Hours of Fuji.
The car will sport an orange design that harks back to the classic Jägermeister liveries, first seen on BMW touring cars in the 1970s.
“Cheers to an icon!” WRT said. “For WEC’s round at Fuji, our #69 BMW M4 GT3 EVO will pay homage to one of the most recognisable liveries in BMW racing history… the unmistakable Jägermeister orange.
“The livery became synonymous with an era of bold colours, big wings and even bigger character… something that rings true with the #69 trio!”
The #69 has sported a different tribute livery at each round so far this year, and become a firm fan favourite in the process. It sits 10th in the LMGT3 Championship standings, with its highlights being a victory in the season opener at Imola and a second-place finish at Interlagos.
Track action at the Fuji Speedway gets underway on Friday 25th September, with the six-hour enduro going green at 11:00 local time on Sunday 27th.
