AF Corse has confirmed its driver line-ups for the final round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, with three changes across its pair of Pro class Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos.
Due to the clash with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Barcelona, Ferrari official drivers Nicklas Nielsen and Alessio Rovera, as well as Sean Gelael, will all be absent. This trio have joined Augusto Farfus, Jules Gounon, Dan Harper, Daniel Juncadella and Raffaele Marciello in electing to prioritise their FIA WEC commitments.
Gelael has been replaced in the #50 Ferrari by Albert Costa Balboa, who last raced in GTWC Europe in a one-off outing at the Nürburgring in 2024. Costa Balboa will share the car with regular drivers Arthur Leclerc and Lilou Wadoux.
In the #51 Ferrari, Tommaso Mosca will be joined by compatriots Nicola Lacorte and Lorenzo Ferrari to make up an all-Italian line-up. It will be Lacorte’s GTWC Europe debut, whilst Ferrari was a series regular from 2022 to 2024, and made a one-off appearance for Tresor Attempto Racing at Monza earlier this year.
Lacorte, notably, will also be making his debut at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, a venue he will visit in the Asian Le Mans Series next February aboard a Cetilar Racing-run Ferrari 499P.
Their rival #90 499P Hypercar in Asian Le Mans, which will also be run by AF Corse, was testing yesterday at Silverstone in a blue livery.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup season finale will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal next weekend on 16th to 17th October 2026.
