22 cars passed through scrutineering in the Place de La Republique today with a good crowd relatively unfazed by torrential rain showers.
The #22 So24! Liger Judd started proceedings at 14:30 with the #48 Murphy Prototypes Oreca Nissan last through, proceedings substantially delayed (again!).
The Porsche and Toyota LMP1 squad, plus the four Fords and the Porsche GTE Pro runners were amongst the runners already having completed their pre-track action formalities (Though the Hybrids have ti pass through a further set of technical checks at the circuit on Tuesday).
The SRT41 Garage 56 effort received a huge welcome and very significant media interest too.
Of the drivers whose teams were cleared today, Ford’s Sebastien Bourdais and Scott Dixon were still In the USA with a rain-delayed IndyCar race at Texas Motor Speedway (the race is now set to start at 14:15 EST making it possible that both men will have to clear the formalities either late tomorrow or at the circuit on Tuesday.
Murphy Prototypes driver Marc Goosens was also absent, he was busy in the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries at Brands Hatch, scoring a podium finish on his debut!
The remaining 38 cars are due to be scrutineered tomorrow with a similar weather forecast!
