There is plenty of news to report from the VLN, after releasing their 2014 calendar shortly before the season ended the VLN now has allocated all of the races to its dates. They are the following:

But there are also plenty of on track news, one already saw its premiere at the Dubai 24 Hours. After splitting with their technical partner, RacingOne, GT Corse has hooked up with Rinaldi Racing to field their Ferrari F458 GT3 and self developed Ferrari Challenge cars in the VLN plus maybe some Blancpain outings.
Some time back we brought the news of BMWs intention to produce a race car for an own cup class within the VLN and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the BMW M235i Racing.
Just this past week the road car was presented at the NAIAS in Detroit and just a couple of days later the race car was unveiled at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. There are already quite a number of teams committed to the new BMW, mainly stemming from the strong arm of privateer teams.
After sitting out much of the 2013 VLN season LMS Engineering is again mounting an attack on the overall championship. After years of a single car team Andreas Lautner is planning on fielding at least two Audi TT RS2 and already has Roland Botor and Christian Krognes signed up to handle the driving duties.
There are also some other driver signings to report, Norbert Siedler has joined the Haribo Racing Team for their 2014 attack.
For the Nürburgring 24 Hours we already have the first works attacks on the twice around classic, BMW has already confirmed that it’ll give support to Schubert Motorsport and Marc VDS Racing Team.
Gazoo Racing will also be back and in addition to the know quantities of the Toyota GT86 and Lexus LFA will also field a prototype called the Lexus LFA Code X. The Code X will be powered by a 5,3 litre V10 instead of the usual 4,8 litre V10. In addition there have also been some extra development by the Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG).
