ACE1 Villorba Corse Confirm 2019-20 Asian Le Mans Series Programme

Plus ELMS in 2020

As trailed some time ago by DSC, ACE1 Villorba Corse have confirmed their programme to join the 2019/20 Asian Le Mans Series with their LMP3 class Ligier JS P3.

The team led by Raimondo Amadio will field 26 year old Japanese racer Yuki Harata joined by 32 year old Italian Alessandro Bressan. The pair will be joined by an as-yet unconfirmed third driver.

Harata was coached in the United States by Bressan and the pair formed part of the ACE1 Villorba Corse effort at the team’s debut international race at Barcelona back in July when they contested the ELMS round at the Circuit de Catalunya.

The current plans sees the team contesting the full Asian series before embarking on a full ELMS campaign in 2020.

Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal: “The ELMS race we had in July at the Montmelò circuit was very useful as a global check of our entire structure and this new project. Everything worked perfectly and now we are really motivated for our first Asian appearance in endurance racing. Asian Le Mans Series is a very interesting championship to be discovered, we can’t wait to get started!”

Car Guy Return

In addition, there will be another bright yellow contender in the Asian Le Mans Series as Car Guy confirm their return to defend their 2018/19 GT class title.

Takeshi Kimura and Kei Cozzolino are again expected to be joined by a high profile Ferrari talent with the effort again handled by AF Corse.
