Larry Ten Voorde & Vincent Abril Join Le Mans Entry

In #56 Porsche and #70 Ferrari

2020 Porsche Supercup Champion Larry Ten Voorde will rejoin Team Project 1 for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours alongside Egidio Perfetti and Matteo Cairoli in the team’s #56 Porsche 911 RSR.

It will be a first Le Mans start for the 23 year-old Dutchman, and a third race in GTE AM for the Project 1 team after forming part of the squad at Bahrain and Shanghai in 2019.

Ten Voorde is a former Project 1 junior driver, racing successfully for the squad in previous years in one-make Porsche competition including first place in the rookie and team classification in the 2017 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and second place in the 2018 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup rookie classification.

“I am delighted to be driving for Project 1 at Le Mans this year,” explained ten Voorde. “We have raced together a great deal and celebrated lots of successes. I owe the team a lot! It’s fantastic to get the chance to compete in Le Mans, and I am very grateful to everyone at the team for the opportunity. I can’t wait to get stuck into the race with Egidio and Matteo. We have a strong package and I am confident that we can finish well.”

Vincent Abril meanwhile will join the #70 MR Racing Ferrari effort, to be run in 2020 in the colours of Car Guy from Japan.
