Ferrari has confirmed the long-rumoured technical partnership with ORECA for the assembly and after-sales services for their next-generation GT3 racer, set to be based on the forthcoming Ferrari 296 GTB road car.
The new car is being designed and will be developed in Maranello with track testing set to get underway in early 2022.
With the confirmation of Ferrari’s LMH programme for 2023 the announcement today cements a future commitment to customer GT racing too.
The new GT3, designed entirely at Maranello by the team led by Ferdinando Cannizzo, Head of GT Race Car Design and Development, will be assembled at ORECA’s Signes facilities from 2022, before the commencement of the development work that will lead to the car’s racing debut, forecast for 2023.
