Monza Back On the Endurance Calendar For 2023

The 2023 calendar of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS has been published.

There is one significant change to report with Monza rejoining the calendar at the expense of Imola.

The Official Test Days at Circuit Paul Ricard (7-9 March) form the start of the year once again.

Just over a month later (15-16 April) the competitive action starts, when Monza makes a welcome return on the calendar, hosting a three-hour Fanatec Endurance race.

Two weeks later (29-30 April) Brands Hatch is the setting of the first Fanatec Sprint event of the season, with the French circuit of Magny-Cours hosting the second sprint weekend on 13-14 May.

Endurance racing returns to the spotlights when the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS travels to Circuit Paul Ricard, for its popular 1000 km race on 3-4 June. Zandvoort plays host to the third sprint weekend of the season on 17-18 June, after which teams and drivers immediately travel to the Belgian Ardennes to attend the Official Test Days for the 24 Hours of Spa (20-21 June). Competitive action moves to Italy just after that, with the penultimate Fanatec Sprint weekend on 1-2 July at the Misano circuit.

Then teams then have a couple of weeks to prepare for a festive 75th edition of the 24 Hours of Spa. The Belgian endurance classic again forms the highlight of the season and will take place during the final weekend of July (28-30).

After a well-deserved summer break, Hockenheim hosts the penultimate Fanatec Endurance event (2-3 September). The conclusion of the 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS is formed by the Spanish double-header on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia (Fanatec Sprint, 16-17 September) and the Catalunya Circuit in Barcelona (Fanatec Endurance 30 September- 1 October).
