Action Express Racing will make their Le Mans 24 Hours Debut at the centenary race in 2023.
The team’s new full-season IMSA Cadillac V-LMDH GTP car will join the full-season grid of FIA WEC hypercars plus any potential additions from factory teams on a grid of top-class prototypes that will number well into double figures.
Whilst Cadillac Racing are set to have a single full-season FIA WEC car for 2023, the Chip Ganassi Racing squad are expected to request a second car too giving Cadillac a potential three-car top-class line-up.
The Action Express Cadillac will join the other two IMSA automatic invitees, John Farano brings his own Tower Motorsports LMP2 team to Le Mans for the first time whilst Ryan Hardwick has already confirmed that he will join Proton Competition via his auto-invitation from 2022.
Whilst still to be confirmed, Action Express, owned by IMSA founder Jim France, is likely to field their full-season pairing of Pipo Derani and Alexander Sims with Enduro addition Jack Aitken highly likely too to add Le Mans to his race schedule with the team.
The expected trio of Cadillacs will join works entries from Ferrari, Glickenhaus, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota with privateer Porsche efforts from JOTA and Proton Competition also likely.
