Insightful, entertaining, funny, observant. Joe Osborne’s commentary of Jules Gounon’s Oulton Park pole lap from the British GT opening weekend is well worth a watch:
This is what #BritishGT‘s fastest-ever lap around @Oulton_Park – 1m31.713s – looks like.

2022 SRO fines donated to good causes
The SRO Motorsports Group has revealed the good causes that it has distributed its 2022 sporting fines to. The fine fund has been drawn from the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, Fanatec GT2 European Series and GT4 European Series events.
The fines came from for a variety of infringements, such as speeding in the pit lane or unsporting behaviour on-track, while team infractions include failing to adhere to working guidelines.
A portion of the fund has been donated to the Royal Society of Sculptors to support the extensive renovations being carried out at its London home, Dora House. This project will transform the Grade II listed building, restoring the façade to its original glory and carrying out essential interior works at the Old Brompton Road site.
A significant contribution has also been made to Fondation Alzheimer, France’s leading private fund for research into Alzheimer’s and its related diseases. The institution partners with public organisations and leading private healthcare companies, channelling 100 percent of donations back into valuable research work.
The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has received a donation in honour of Jon Crook, who passed away in February 2022. A long-standing British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) member and respected chief scrutineer, Jon was a fixture of the Intelligent Money British GT paddock, where he and wife Sue were among the championship’s most recognisable volunteers.
Help has also been provided to Enfants Copilotes, which aims to bring happiness to children facing challenging circumstances. Young people living with medical problems and from disadvantaged backgrounds are strapped into the passenger seat of a sports car and taken for a ride around a circuit, allowing them to experience the thrill and speed of motorsport.
Finally, a donation has been made to Hyperacusis Research, a non-profit supported by championship winning GT driver Wolfgang Reip. The initiative seeks out treatments for hyperacusis, a disorder that makes patients highly sensitive to a range of sounds, some of which become painfully loud. Through its work, Hyperacusis Research hopes to eliminate the underlying mechanisms that cause the disorder.
Müller headlines Joos Sportwagentechnik driver pair
Joos Sportwagentechnik has enlisted Porsche works driver Sven Müller and 18-year-old up and comer Finn Gehrsitz for its 2023 ADAC GT Masters campaign with the new 992-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The team’s livery has also been reveled, along with the driver news. The team’s Porsche will sport the eye-catching colors of the main sponsor Twin Busch,
“With Sven and Finn we definitely have a very powerful driver pairing with whom we can fight for victories,” said team boss Michael Joos. “Sven has been a constant in this championship for years and there is no need to say anything about his qualities. I have known Finn for a long time and have followed his path. I’m sure that in Sven he has the ideal partner for further development. I think it’s very important to encourage young talent and this year the ADAC GT Masters gives us the perfect platform for that. I am very grateful to all our partners who have remained loyal to us this season!”
