Vector Sport Reverts To 2022 Livery For Le Mans

The British team switches back to last season's colours to help it stand out at La Sarthe

Vector Sport has revealed that its ORECA 07 Gibson will revert back to its 2022 FIA WEC livery (featured) at Le Mans this year, after running an Isotta Fraschini-inspired colour scheme (below) in the opening rounds of the 2023 FIA WEC.

“Amid the sea of red, white and blue likely to be seen on the grid for the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-11th June), competitors will all be looking for something which makes their car just a little bit more identifiable and different to others,” the team said, explaining its decision.

“Fans and broadcasters would readily agree that a clean and recognisable livery makes a car easier to follow and, in the biggest sportscar race in the world, there will be much to follow!”

At Le Mans, the team will gun for LMP2 class honours with its regular FIA WEC trio of Matthias Kaiser, Gabi Aubry and Ryan Cullen.

Ahead of its trip to France next month, the team is currently set up at Motorland Aragon in Spain for a final pre-Le Mans day/night test today, along with multiple other LMP2 teams.
