The track-ready version of Maserati’s new GT2 was revealed in the Spa paddock today ahead f a planned race debut later this year.
The car, revealed in test form in March ahead of an intensive testing programme, was revealed at the site of the famous Italian brand’s most recent motorsport triumphs with the GT1 spec MC12 taking overall wins at the 24 Hours of Spa three times from 2005 – 2008.
The new GT2, based on the Maserati MC20 sports car, sports a 463-kW/621-hp version of Maserati’s Nettuno V6 engine.
The new car will make its competition debut in the final stages of the 2023 Fanatec GT2 European Series, and is due to participate in the entire 2024 season.
