Magnus Racing have confirmed an unchanged lineup for this months Rolex 24 at Daytona as Nicki Thiim rejoins the already named trio of John Potter, Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly in the #44 Aston Martin in the GTD class.
The same four drivers combined to give the team a second place finish at Daytona last year at a race that the team has scored two class victories in 2012 and 2016.
Confirmed on Friday, the GTD outfit is set to begin its 14th season of top-level sports car racing competition.
Potter, Lally and Pumpelly will also combine in the remaining four Michelin Endurance Cup rounds
“We already had the WhatsApp chat setup with these drivers, so it seemed easier to continue as is,” said John Potter. “Our goal at Daytona is also the same as last year, move up only one position from the year before. I’m excited to be back with these guys and so much of the same crew and with AMR again!”
Andy Lally continues to hold the record for most consecutive participations in the Rolex 24, with this year marking year 22, a total that includes five class wins (2001, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2016).
Spencer Pumpelly returns for a sixth Rolex 24 with Magnus who will reveal a new livery before track action starts at the ROAR test from 19 January.
