126 Cars On NLS4 Entry List

Including 15 SP9 runners and a Multimatic-crewed Hyundai

The entry list for the six-hour ADAC Ruhr Pokal Rennen – NLS4 – race this weekend on the Nordschleife has been revealed, with a total of 126 cars set to take part.

Up front, the SP9 class for GT3 that will compete for the outright victory is 15 cars strong.

It features seven cars in SP9 Pro, including a pair of Falken Porsches (with new signings Alex Lynn and Timo Glock), a Manthey EMA #911 Porsche for Ayhancan Güven, Thomas Preining and Laurens Vanthoor, a Porsche from Dinamic GT driven by Bastian Buus and Adrien De Leener and a Mercedes entered by Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf for Lucas Auer, Ralf Aron and Jules Gounon.

Elsewhere, the VT2-FWD class (which features a mixture of Hyundai i30Ns, Cupra Leons and VW Sciroccos) includes an i30 entered by Walkenhorst Motorsport, crewed by Multimatic drivers Andy Priaulx, Ben Barker and Sebastian Priaulx, as well as British racer Alex Connor.

DSC reached out to Multimatic to ask if there was a direct link between the Canadian organisation and this entry. A spokesperson confirmed that Multimatic had placed the trio in the car specifically and that they were competing “to get their Nordschleife licence, should they need it for a future programme.”

Multimatic is currently involved in GT racing at the top level. In partnership with Ford, it developed the new Mustang GT3 and currently operates a factory programme with the car in IMSA’s GTD Pro class.

During the weekend VLN boss Mike Jäger will also take to the circuit, though not in the race.

On Friday, the 27-time NLS class winner will drive a PROsport Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for a series of hot laps with fans in the passenger seat. Laps are priced at 299 Euros, with all proceeds set to be donated to the track safety stewards.

“Even as an active driver, I was always extremely grateful to the stewards,” said Jäger, who has been in charge of the NLS since the end of 2022.

“Without the girls and boys out on the Nordschleife, no race would take place. And on the rare occasions when I was their ‘customer’ after a slip-up or accident, I quickly realized that you can simply rely on the stewards in the Green Hell

“Even though I hung up my helmet in the NLS, I was repeatedly asked by fans when I would get behind the wheel again. This gave rise to the idea of offering a few cab laps with me at the wheel on the Friday before the 6h race for the benefit of the stewards.”

Beyond that, BMW will also test its 2025 M4 GT3 EVO during the weekend. It is not entered for the race itself but will turn laps in front of the fans on hand for the NLS action. No decision has been taken on who will drive the car yet.

Saturday’s NLS4 race is set to start at 12:00 local time in Germany.
