New Livery For AWA Corvette

AWA has presented a new livery for its #13 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R that will premiere this season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The “dark mode” livery is the latest work from Canadian graphic designer Jason Dakins, whose other clients include fellow Canadian team Pfaff Motorsports, as well as California upstart CDR Valkyrie, Porsche Carrera Cup North America driver Zachary Vanier, and several competitors in the FEL Sports Car Championship Canada (SCCC).

The new design is clearly inspired by the timeless ‘JPS’ black and gold – but accommodates branded colours from primary sponsor Orlando Corporation, as well as modern shapes and styling.

Its first race will be at Daytona, where Orey Fidani, Matt Bell, Lars Kern, and newcomer Marvin Kirchhöfer will be one of 22 crews competing for GTD class honours.

Fidani and AWA also intend to compete in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans after winning the 2024 Bob Akin Award – presented to IMSA’s top-ranked Bronze driver in GTD – and an automatic invitation to the event.
