Veterans of Pirelli World Challenge campaigns gone by, Dollahite Racing has announced that they will be the first customer team to race the new Ford Mustang GT3 in GT World Challenge America this season.
Based out of Austin, Texas, this family-owned team with over 40 years of racing history plans to compete in the Am class with driver Scott Dollahite, and a second driver to be named later. He ran a partial schedule in the GT America sprint series last year in preparation for a full-season effort in 2025.
Dollahite Racing president, team manager and former racing driver Bill Dollahite said: “We believe that the Mustang is the best platform on the grid while we also recognize there is a lot of work ahead to dial in the full potential of the car. We have very talented and committed people in our organization dedicated to this and our direct collaboration with Ford and Multimatic as well as their global customers will help us get an understanding of the car much quicker.
“In all my years of racing, I’ve never experienced the level of commitment and support that both Ford and Multimatic are putting toward this programme. We are equally committed to making our collaboration with them one of the best in the 2025 GT World Challenge America championship.”

The addition of Dollahite Racing to a growing stable of Ford Mustang GT3 customers comes off the heels of the car’s first global victory at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Haupt Racing Team (HRT) joining the ranks as a customer in several European championships, and the addition of several new Ford Performance factory and junior GT drivers.
It also accomplishes one of the goals that SRO Motorsports America President and CEO, Greg Gill, hoped to see since the Mustang GT3 and Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R launched last season – to see both American cars on the grid in GT World Challenge America. DXDT Racing has already announced it will return to the series with a customer Corvette.
