The #4 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo of Braydon Arthur and AMR Driver Academy graduate Mike David Ortmann won Race 2 and the season finale of the 2025 Pirelli GT4 America series at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Newly-crowned Silver class champions Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch finished an incredible season with second place in the finale, after Boehm was taken out of the lead with nine minutes to go, by the sister #3 JMF Aston Martin of Jesse Webb.
With a wet track, the 60-minute race officially began with three laps behind the safety car before polesitter Matheus Leist led the field to the green flag in the #47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport. Koch started fifth, but fought his way up to second place by the end of his stint, closing in on Leist before the mid-race pit stops.
The top two pitted at the very end of that window, and it didn’t take long for the BMW of Boehm to overtake the Porsche of Matt Travis for the overall race lead.
Webb cranked up the pressure in the #3 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo, setting fast laps to close the gap to Boehm. Webb then tried a lunge up the inside of turn 12 but hit Boehm and sent him spinning down to fourth place. Ortmann took the lead after Webb served the inevitable drive-through penalty for incident responsibility.
A fired-up Boehm then fought his way past the #12 Riley Motorsports Porsche of Eric Filgueiras to retake second position.
Taking third overall and a sweep in the Pro-Am class was the #33 Blackdog Racing McLaren Artura GT4 of Tony Gaples and Michael Cooper. Cooper made a penultimate-lap pass to grab third from the #12 Riley Porsche of Filgueiras and Spencer Pumpelly, finishing its one-off weekend in fourth.
Two other Silver class cars cracked the overall top ten, with the #26 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin (Hannah Greenemeier/Hannah Grisham) in seventh and the #39 Van der Steur Racing Aston Martin (Luca Mars/Max Hewitt) in ninth. Webb and Jonathan Neudorf dropped to 11th after their penalty.
Leist and Travis finished fifth overall and second in Pro-Am in their #47 NOLASPORT Porsche, while the #7 ACI Motorsports Porsche of Jan Heylen and Curt Swearingin finished sixth overall and third in class.
But fourth place in Pro-Am and eighth overall for the #94 Random Vandals Racing BMW of Sam Craven and Josh Green was enough for the duo to win the GT4 America Pro-Am championship over ACI’s Swearingin and Blackdog’s Cooper and Gaples.
That adds to an incredible weekend for Random Vandals Racing, who won the GT World Challenge America Pro Championship in yesterday’s Indianapolis 8 Hour Presented by AWS, along with the Silver class title in GT4 America. It makes the sting of the Am class #98 BMW’s withdrawal from Race 2 feel like an afterthought.
With seven minutes to go, Green overtook the #53 Auto Technic Racing BMW (Tyler Stone/Matt Million) for fourth in class, which proved to be the decisive pass for the title.
In the Am class, the #72 RAFA Racing Team Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Anthony Geraci and Kenny Schmeid took the win, holding off the #36 BimmerWorld Racing BMW of Charlie Postins and James Clay by just 0.159 seconds.
But while RAFA Racing’s Toyota took the win, the BimmerWorld BMW of Postins and Clay won the GT4 America Am Championship for the third time in four years with their second-place finish, and won it by just one point. Postins plans to depart BimmerWorld Racing after this latest victory, making the occasion all the more special.
And with that, BMW M Motorsport customers swept all three championships in GT4 America with the new EVO-spec M4 GT4.
The #413 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW (Kris Wilson/Zach Lumsden) rounded out the Am podium in the last race of the season.
An early puncture for Race 1 winners Gresham Wagner and Tyler Gonzalez left the #68 RAFA Racing Toyota to languish in 15th overall, but the Toyota development drivers still clinched second in the Silver class standings.
