After three seasons together, Jordan Pepper is set to leave the Lamborghini fold at the end of this year, the South African has announced.
Pepper first raced a Lamborghini in GT World Challenge America in 2021, winning the Pro drivers’ title with K-PAX Racing. He came up short in his title defence in 2022, but his performances earned the 29-year-old a Squadra Corse factory contract for 2023.
This saw him take on the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with Iron Lynx, as well as GT World Challenge Europe’s Sprint Cup with VSR and 24H Nürburgring with Abt Sportsline.
The following season, Pepper scored his first win as a factory driver at GT Open’s Hockenhiemring round, before adding triumphs at the Nürburgring in GT World Challenge Europe with GRT – Grasser Racing Team, and GTP PRO honours at Petit Le Mans with Iron Lynx.
The South African also had the opportunity to join Iron Lynx and Lamborghini at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, acting as Reserve Driver for its SC63 Hypercar effort and turning laps on the Test Day.
This year, Pepper’s programme has focused around racing in Europe with Gottfried Grasser’s eponymous outfit. The 29-year-old challenged for the title in both the DTM and GT World Challenge Europe, scoring four race victories but ultimately coming up short of a championship.
The highlight, however, came at the 24 Hours of Spa, as Pepper, Mirko Bortolotti and Luca Engstler scored a famous win in the Huracán GT3 EVO2’s last hurrah at the race as a factory-supported machine.
Pepper’s new home for 2026 is yet to be revealed, but the South African has made it clear that he will still be competing in sportscar racing.
“After many great years together, I have decided to part ways with LSC [Lamborghini Squadra Corse] and move onto a new chapter and adventure for 2026 and beyond,” Pepper posted on social media.
“A special thanks to all my teammates over the years, I was lucky enough to achieve so much success with everyone. You all pushed me to be better and hungrier each and every weekend, chasing success!
“To all the teams I drove for, thank you for everything. From the triumphs and successes to the heart breaks, I always felt I had the support and backing of everyone! Lots of memories made and friendships gained.
“Last but not least to everyone in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Thank you!! I am incredibly proud of what we were able to achieve together, and grateful to everyone back at the factory who was apart of all the successes. Our journey has come to an end together but the respect for everyone remains their as we go on to race as competitors in the future!”
