The entry list for the opening round of the 2026 European Le Mans Series, the 4H Barcelona, has been released, confirming the majority of the remaining empty seats in this year’s 47-car field.
In LMP2, 11 cars are entered, with this morning’s announcement of Jack Doohan joining Nielsen Racing completing the driver roster.
10 cars will run with three drivers, whilst Inter Europol Competition will field the only two-driver line-up in the field, with Bijoy Garg and Reshad De Gerus sharing the #34 ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2.
12 cars are entered into LMP2 Pro/Am, making for the largest field in class history.
At Vector Sport, Jens Reno Møller is listed aboard the #7 ORECA alongside Cem Bölukbaşi, with the third driver in this car the only ‘TBC’ still listed. Notably, Jacob Abel is no longer named for this entry, having been listed on the original season entry list released last year.
Meanwhile, René Binder has been confirmed alongside Horst Felbermayr and Horst Felix Felbermayr aboard the #88 Proton Competition ORECA, for the Austrian’s third consecutive season with Proton in LMP2 Pro/Am.
The LMP3 field once again features 10 cars this year, with nine Ligier JS P325s being joined by a single Duqueine D09.
Recent additions to the LMP3 field have included confirmation that defending drivers’ champion Paul Lanchere will return to CLX Motorsport, where he will share the #17 Ligier with Aelxander Jacoby and Bruno Ribeiro for his title defence. Lenny Ried, meanwhile, has been added to Racing Spirit of Leman’s #31 Ligier.
And in LMGT3, 14 cars are entered, making for the largest ELMS GT grid since 2015.
Spirit of Race has confirmed it will field an unchanged line-up aboard its #55 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo for the sixth consecutive season, with Matt Griffin and David Perel again racing alongside Duncan Cameron.
At Team Qatar by Iron Lynx, Julian Hanses and Adam Christodoulou will drive alongside rookie Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi in the #62 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3. Hanses, who has previously raced for Team Qatar in GT World Challenge Europe, is an ELMS rookie, whilst Christodoulou last competed in the series in 2011.
And in Proton Competition’s #77 Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3, Huub Van Eijndhoven and Porsche contracted driver Harry King will drive with ‘Bankcy’, reuniting a trio which contested the final four races of this year’s Asian Le Mans Series together. King will not contest the full season with the team, however, due to a clash between next month’s round at Circuit Paul Ricard and his IMSA Sportscar Championship GTD Pro programme.
The 2026 4 Hours of Barcelona will be held on the 10th to 12th April 2026. Beforehand, the European Le Mans Series Prologue Pre-Season Test will take place on 6th to 7th April.
