DSC mentioned in its Rolex 24 at Daytona wrap up piece that Max Angelelli was transported to hospital the end of the race after crossing the line second overall in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP.
Thankfully after being kept overnight in a hospital local to the circuit as a precautionary measure, the Wayne Taylor Racing twitter account has confirmed that Angelelli has been given the all clear and has been released:
UPDATE: Max Angelelli has received doctors’ clearance and has been discharged from local hospital. Says he’s “A-OK” but now needs sleep!

The reason for Angelelli’s illness hasn’t been confirmed, but his teammate Jordan Taylor notably felt sick while driving the car during the closing stages of the race, complaining of a strange smell in the car over the radio prior to Angelelli getting in for his final stint.
