Charity Rides On Offer At Goodwood & Snetterton This Weekend

The domestic racing season may be all but over, but this weekend sees two opportunities for race fans to get up and close and personal with various machines while raising money for charity in the process.

On Saturday (16th November), the Goodwood Motor Circuit just outside Chichester will host a track day, with participants offering rides in return for a donation to Mission Motorsport. The vehicles on offer range from track-prepared Mazda MX-5s to a Porsche 911 RS.

All you need to do is arrive, choose the car you want to ride in, and make a donation (and sign the relevant disclaimers).

Mission Motorsport is well known to DSC, but you can find out all about the charity – here.

For those based further to the East, Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk will be the venue for the Charity Motor Show on Sunday the 17th.

From just £20 passengers can enjoy three laps of racetrack experience around Snetterton race circuit, choosing from an impressive line up of classic cars, performance cars, racing cars and supercars and the show will be raising vital funds for local charities. Last year’s event raised more than £40,000. The CBT Racing Camaro will be one of those cars, with Stuart Scott and Steve Wood on driving duty.

A full family day out, the event is aiming to offer something for everyone, including the opportunity to view some amazing cars close up, children’s activities including passenger laps in trucks from the East Coast Truckers for children as young as four years old, refreshments, car club exhibits, a motorbike show and trade stands.

Entry is only £10 per vehicle. You can either purchase passenger ride tickets on the day or buy vouchers for the event in advance. For full details, please visit – this link.
