Mathias Beche will be driving in both an LMP1 and LMP2 car throughout the season, as part of a marketing partnership between Rebellion Racing and Thiriet by TDS Racing.
The Swiss driver will be participating in the full ELMS championship with the Frenchn squad, plus the Le Mans 24 Hours in its ORECA 05 pending the invite. He’ll also continue to drive for Rebellion Racing too in its LMP1 programme, but not for the full season. This means Rebellion will be looking for a replacement driver to fill Beche’s seat in the #12 R-One for the 24 Hours.
“Alongside my FIA WEC LMP1 program, I’m really happy to be racing in the ELMS with a team I know very well and in partnership with Rebellion Racing,” says Beche.
“Going to the Le Mans 24 Hours with a car capable of winning will be very exciting, as it’s a race that I dream of winning! Sportingly, I think LMP2 this year will be the most hotly contested category this year, so it’s good to be in the mix.”
