2018 Le Mans 24 Hours, Snippets From The Media

All human life is here!

Attendance

Attendance was officially down 1% vs last year, 256,900 fans. That echoed feedback from Le Mans hotel owners indicating that some were not full this year, a very unusual situation, some have suggested that the official figure was something of an overestimate!

It felt a little different trackside at times, in particular around the Dunlop bridge on the Saturday evening. The Texas concert attracted 15-20,000 people, so many that fans simply could not exit the track / and/ or reach the Parking Rouge (coming down from the bridge).

There have been complaints (particularly from the elderly and from parents of younger children) in the local media about crowd management,

No injuries were reported.
