Juncos Racing has confirmed that Kyle Kaiser will rejoin the team for this weekend’s IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship round from the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Kaiser will pair with full-season driver Will Owen. This will be the third time the American duo will share the #50 Cadillac D.Pi-V.R. after outings at the Rolex 24 and more recently, in Long Beach.
The team’s outing at Long Beach netted them a seventh-place finish, their best since joining the series earlier this year. Its strategy resulted in the car leading just over a dozen laps of the race too.
“I’m so glad to be back in the #50 Juncos Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R car for Mid-Ohio,” said Kaiser. “I’m fortunate to have a lot of experience racing there in open-wheel cars and I’m excited to utilize that experience this weekend. I really enjoy working with Will [Owen] and I’m looking forward to building off of what we accomplished at Long Beach.”
Kaiser, who has driven for Juncos in its Indycar programme, was not with the team for the 12 Hours of Sebring. That means Will Owen, the team’s only full-season driver, stands alone in eleventh in the DPi championship standings with Kaiser 24 points behind him.
