After a season which saw the current model take three titles (Australian GT4 (below), GT4 Southern Europe and the ADAC GT4 crowns) the KTM XBow GT4 will see an Evo version for the 2020 season developed once again by Reiter Engineering.
The Evo package is a significant performance and visual step for the XBow, the replacement of the full-width rear wing with two winglets, coupled with dramatic new rear bodywork and a significant power boost amongst the changes.”
“We’ve been listening carefully to our customers during the past seasons,” said Hans Reiter.
“We’ve put a huge effort into providing them with an upgrade that would be most beneficial.”
An increased engine power output of up to 375 hp for SRO GT4 series or even up to 440 hp for open championships; changed tyre size to 265/645 18 on all four wheels; reduction of front and rear downforce to balance the car better in terms of the relation between cornering and straight-line speed and reduction of drag and adjustment of the car weight for SRO GT4 series.
“Knowing the performance characteristics of the KTM X-BOW GT4 as being a superior car in terms of cornering speed and braking performance, we’ve developed the EVO model for 2020, that’s moving the performance window of the car carefully from those attributes into the direction of increased straight-line speed. This will provide the KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO customers with better overtaking possibilities at any level of driving skills, making them more competitive in the tight competition of SRO series around the world.”
All existing KTM X-BOW GT4 cars are ready to be equipped with the upgrade package, making them EVO models as well. Furthermore, the 440 hp engine kit is also available as a stand-alone accessory part, providing additional power for track-day drivers or participants in non-SRO-sanctioned racing series worldwide. The EVO upgrade kit for the 2020 KTM X-BOW GT4 includes a wide range of additional accessory parts (e.g. drive shafts, engine mounts, etc.) that are offered for the customers as well.
