Konrad Motorsport’s recently acquired ex 360 Racing Ginetta G61-LT-P3 will make its competitive debut this weekend at Estoril in the LMP3 Proto Endurance class of the Ultimate Cup Series.
Team founder Franz Konrad will be at the wheel of the Ginetta alongside young German driver Tim Zimmermann. It is believed to be Konrad’s first entry in a sports prototype since 2001.
The latter, after having started out in single-seaters, moved on to GT3, with both GRT and Konrad in Lamborghini Huracan GT3 machinery
He will make his return to LMP3, three years after a successful spell in the China Endurance Series at the wheel of a Ligier JSP3.
The Konrad Ginetta means that three different LMP3 manufacturers will be represented at the Ultimate Cup season finale with Ligier, Duqueine and Ginetta entries all on the card.
