Jerôme De Sadeleer (MV2S Forestier Racing) takes pole in a drama packed session. Busneli (Ebimotors) leads the times sheets in GT3
In LMP3, the session started smoothly with Fabien Michal in the #37 CD Sport Ligier PS P320 Nissan leading the category by lapping consistently under 1:41. Then, with a little more than six minutes left in the session, Jerôme De Saddeleer in the #29 MV2S Forestier Racing Ligier PS P320 Nissan took pole with a cracking 1:39:052 lap time.
Moments later though, the session was red flagged as his Ligier made contact with the sister car (#28) driven by Christophe Cresp at Curva Rivazza. “We will look at onboard footages but I believe it’s Jerome’s fault” said teammate Louis Rousset. “It’s bad for the team”, he added. Both cars returned to the pits on flat beds with apparently minor damage to the bodywork.

On restart, the #6 ANS Motorsport Ligier PS P320 Nissan driven by Jonathan Brossart went off at Variante Villeneuve. The session was red flagged once again and did not resume.
The #11 WTM Racing Duqueine M30 D08 Nissan driven by Torsten Kratz took second fastest lap (1:39:163), some three tenths ahead of Fabien Michal the #37 CD Sport Ligier PS P320 Nissan (1:39.488)
Meanwhile in the GT3 category, the #46 Ebimotors Porsche 911 GT3R driven by Emanuele Busneli dominated the session by clocking a fastest lap of 1:45:428. The Italian stayed at the top of the time sheets for most of the session.
The #44 GMB Motorsport Honda NSX GT3 driven by Jens Moller finished in second position, some three tenths behind the GT3 pole sitting car and nearly two tenths ahead of the #99 Bullitt Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 driven by Stephen Pattrick.
Further down in the ranks, the Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 championship leading car, the #55 GMB Motorsport shared by Kasper Jensen and Kristian Poulsen finished fourth (1:46:594)
In the Innovative Car category, the H24 Racing hydrogen filled prototype took her maiden qualifying session. Stephane Richelmi clocked an honourable fastest lap of 1:52:458 in the final moments of the session.
