Maro Engel returns to ADAC GT Masters action at the Nùrburgring this weekend as the new team-mate for fellow Mercedes AMG factory driver Raffaele Marciello aboard the #48 “Mamba” for the Mann-Filter Team Landgraf.
Engel fills the seat previously occupied by Jonathan Aberdein (Rounds 1 and 2) and Lorenzo Ferrari (Round 3) to form a very impressive looking duo for the title-challenging team.
ADAC GT Masters is familiar ground for Engel, his cv already has some 50 race starts in the Series and he finished both the 2020 and 2021 seasons in third place in the standings.
“I am really looking forward to supporting Raffaele and the team and I will do my best to give us the best possible chance of claiming the title. We have a great setup in terms of the team and driver line-up, with a clear aim: chalking up victories. I am also looking forward to the great Mann-Filter fanbase. That will be superb,” said Engel.
