Barwell Motorsport has announced the first of its two British GT pairings for the 2023 Intelligent Money British GT Championship, with Mark Sansom and Will Tregurtha joining the Black Bull Scotch Whisky-backed team to drive one of our new-spec Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2s, the pair moving over from the Asseto Motorsport Bentley campaign he undertook in 2022.
The details of the second car will be announced shortly.
2023 will be Mark’s third consecutive year in the Championship and his second in the GT3 class, having raced the Ginetta G56 GT4 and the Bentley over the last two seasons. Will has a successful history in the UK series, having taken the GT4 Drivers title in 2017. Since then he has finished as runner-up in both the European GT4 championship and the DTM Trophy series, and also made GT3 appearances in the ADAC GT Masters. This season the combination picked up a number of Silver-Am class wins and podiums in British GT and will be looking to go for outright honours in 2023.
