News and notes from the world of sportscar racing...

Bradley’s Donington flyer!

Richard Bradley is seen below testing in a newly-restored (by our friends at BBM Sport) 2008 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP at Donington Park, putting in a lap of the National Circuit in 57.4 seconds (with some traffic).

The car is chassis #7 which finished second at Le Mans in 2008 and has just emerged from a two-year restoration. Bradley’s spirited shakedown test comes ahead of the car’s delivery to its very proud new owner.

Bradley’s time compares very well indeed to the outright National layout track record – a 56.8 by an F1 Benetton with BBM informing DSC that the theoretical best lap for the test could have been a 55.8 for the Peugeot based on fastest sector times.

Renee Gracie ready for Audi GT debut in Perth

Renee Gracie will make her official return to motorsport in Round 2 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS at Wanneroo Raceway next weekend.

The former racer turned adult content creator will race in an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Ultra with support from fellow GT competitor Mark Griffith, who himself races a Mercedes-AMG.

Her entry will contest the GT Trophy category at Round 2 in Perth, as well as the remaining rounds of 2023.

Gracie’s car will feature backing from OnlyFans. It’s not the only GT3 car currently competing with support from OnlyFans, as Enduro Motorsport in British GT is also running a livery featuring the website’s branding.

Ojeda joins Harrolds Volante Rosso

Jayden Ojeda has joined Harrolds Volante Rosso Motorsport and will line up alongside Ross Poulakis for the remainder of the 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS season.

After a seat fitting with the team in Sydney this week, the Bathurst 6 Hour winner will take to the team’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the second round of the Championship in Perth next weekend (April 28-30).

The arrival of Ojeda has injected a huge amount of energy into the team as it looks towards challenging for the GT Championship this year.

“Our team at Harrolds Volante Rosso Motorsport is excited to welcome Jayden Ojeda on board and his experience across multiple categories,” said Ross Poulakis. “We’re here for success and have a team around us that wants to achieve success.
“I think Jayden adds a different energy to our team, he’s a talent which has been recognised by Chris and Josh and I think that he can propel us to the front.

“Our team has some lofty ambitions and bringing Jayden on board will help the team. His experience not just as a racer, but as a driver coach will help me move forward and hopefully we’ll be in position to challenge for the title come the end of the year.”
