Albert Costa Balboa Confirmed At Conquest

Full-season drive for the Spaniard

Conquest Racing has announced that Albert Costa Balboa will join it for the full 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, co-driving with Manny Franco in the GTD Class.

The Spaniard comes equipped with a highly impressive racing pedigree as a proven race winner across multiple highly coveted international endurance championships. Notably, he won this year’s famed 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 Class with Inter Europol Competition, and later went on to become Vice Champion with the team in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

His versatility and knowledge as a driver and a teammate will be of great benefit to everyone at Conquest Racing. Additionally, his prior experience competing with the Ferrari 296 GT3 is highly valuable as the Indianapolis-based outfit prepares for the 2024 season. Costa gained experience of the 296 during his 2023 campaigns in GT World Challenge Europe and DTM with Swiss team Emil Frey Racing.

“I’m extremely happy to be joining Conquest Racing With Ferrari,” said Albert Costa Balboa. “The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is an incredibly important series with a high level of competition, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. I’m really looking forward to racing on these old school American circuits and the challenges that will come with it.

“I can’t wait to drive the new Ferrari 296 GT3 and I’ll be working very hard with the team to put us on the right path.”
