David Heinemeier Hansson has been confirmed as the final driver in Nielsen Racing’s 2024 ELMS LMP2 Pro class ORECA.
The Dane will compete alongside JOTA WEC Hypercar driver Will Stevens and United WEC LMGT3 racer Nico Pino in the #27, and gun for the overall ELMS title.
Heinemeier Hansson brings a wealth of prototype experience to the team, including multiple full FIA WEC seasons in LMP2. He also has an FIA WEC GTE Am title in and Le Mans class win to his name with Aston Martin Racing in 2014.
The #27 trio will race alongside the team’s previously announced LMP2 Pro-Am line-up of John Falb, Colin Noble and Albert Costa.
Both of Nielsen’s ORECA 07 Gibsons will race with liveries celebrating its 10th year in competition. These will be presented on April 5th.
In addition to competing in LMP2 and LMP2 Pro/Am this season in the ELMS, Nielsen will field a Ligier JS P320 on the support bill in the LMP3 class of the Le Mans Cup series. Tony Wells and Wayne Boyd will share the wheel.
