The Nürburgring has announced today that it has signed a contract with the Nordschleife-based Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS, formerly VLN) to host nine races in 2025.
These races will be held on eight weekends, increasing the series’ schedule back to its traditional length after the creation of a rival NES series in 2024 saw it reduce its number of events.
This news seems to suggest that the NES will not return in 2025. DSC reached out to the NES for reaction, but it had no additional comments or information to supply.
NES failed to get off the ground this year, as multiple roadblocks including a staged walkout of circuit marshals at NES 02 back in May resulted in the cancellation of that race and the remainder of the season.
