A full entry list for this weekend’s IMSA Sanctioned Test at Daytona has been issued, with 31 cars and a near-complete list of drivers.
In GTP, there are a number of notable names down to drive.
For Heart of Racing, Ross Gunn, Alex Riberas and Roman De Angelis are listed to test the Valkyrie AMR-LMH.
At BMW Team RLL, both M Hybrid V8s have the same four drivers listed: Philipp Eng, Robin Frijns, Marco Wittmann and Max Hesse (fresh from his run at the Rookie Test in Bahrain).
Lamborghini Iron Lynx meanwhile, will run with two drivers, Andrea Caldarelli and Romain Grosjean. When DSC first saw the SC63 in its garage earlier today at Daytona Matteo Cairoli’s name stickers were on the doors but it appears that the Italian will not make the trip to Florida.
The JDC Miller Motorsports Porsche also has three drivers confirmed and a pair of TBDs. Tijmen van der Helm features, along with Chris Miller and Gianmaria Bruni.
In LMP2, United Autosports’ line-ups are confirmed, with Ben Hanley down to share the #2 with Manuel Maldonado and Bronze Phil Fayer. The #22, meanwhile, will be driven by Daniel Goldburg, Paul Di Resta and Rasmus Lindh.
As previously written by DSC, Riley’s ORECA has four drivers confirmed: Gar Robinson, Felipe Fraga, Josh Burdon and Felipe Massa.
And at Crowdstrike Racing by APR, George Kurtz is down to test with Toby Sowery and Peugeot Hypercar driver Malthe Jakobsen.
GTD Pro’s five-car entry includes two trios for Ford Multimatic Motorsports’ Mustang GT3s. Mike Rockenfeller, former AO Racing driver Seb Priaulx and Ben Barker will drive the #65, while Dennis Olsen, Chris Mies and Fred Vervisch will steer the #65.
In addition, defending class champion AO Racing is present with Tom Sargent and FIA WEC LMGT3 Drivers’ title winner Klaus Bachler.
Among the GTD contingent, Aston Martin customer team van der Steur Racing’s Vantage will be powered by five drivers across the two days of running for the class. Americans Eric Filgueiras, Rory van der Steur and Brady Behrman will be joined by Valentin Hasse-Clot and Maxime Robin.
And at DXDT there’s a surprise name, with former Action Express Cadillac racer Pipo Derani listed as its fourth driver in the #36 Corvette.
The first day of testing gets underway tomorrow morning on the 3.56-mile circuit that annually hosts the Rolex 24 At Daytona and runs through Sunday afternoon.
