The calendar for the ADAC Nürburgring endurance series for 2025 is confirmed with ten races on eight event weekends.
The two races of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers are again part of the NLS next year.
The calendar is supplemented by the already announced NLS Light event, in which vehicles in the SP9, SPX, SP-Pro and Cup 2 classes are not entered.
After the traumatic start to 2024 with the rival NES Series the announcement of a full calendar with a single series will come as a relief to all concerned!
The season opener will take place on March 22, 2025. The 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt traditionally opens the racing year in the Green Hell.
There are four more races before the Nordschleife season highlight, the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (June 19-22).
July 5th sees the pre-announced ‘NLS-Light’ event. Some of the GT3 teams will then have completed three 24-hour races within just three weeks, so that they will have a break on the Nordschleife.
The 6 hour highlight of the NLS will be on August 16th. The race will be called ‘KW 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen’ in the future. The suspension specialist from Fichtenberg will take over the title sponsorship of the MSC Ruhr-Blitz Bochum event.
“KW has been one of the major names in long-distance racing in the Green Hell for years and we are proud that the company around Jürgen and Klaus Wohlfarth will support our event in the future,” says Horst-Helmuth Bube, 1st Chairman of the MSC Ruhr-Blitz Bochum.
“For KW automotive GmbH, involvement in the traditional Nordschleife Championship is a matter of honor. Around 50 percent of the NLS starting field has trusted our KW Racing suspension for years. Next year, our KW Race Service will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary in the NLS paddock,” says Managing Director Jürgen Wohlfarth.
“For us, the NLS is one of the most beautiful championships, as so many different vehicles start here. For this reason, we are happy to support one of the highlights of the NLS season.”
From September 12th to 14th, the double-header of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series, which has been established in recent years, will take place. The season finale will take place on October 11th, more than a month earlier than this year.
“Next year, we have a compact racing calendar from the end of March to the beginning of October,” says VLN Managing Director Mike Jäger. “The fact that we as the NLS have eight dates for nine races available to us and that we are also happy to include the two qualifier races in our rankings again, enables us to host an NLS Light event for the first time. However, due to the extensive calendar with ten races, there will also be three discarded results so that teams that do not have the opportunity to take part in all ten races due to budget or scheduling conflicts can also fight for the championship.”
