RJN Confirm Squad For GT World Challenge Return

Team RJN has announced the driver line-up for its return to the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.

The British squad last contested a full Endurance Cup campaign in 2019, but made a one-off appearance at last year’s 24 Hours of Spa.

In 2025, they will field a McLaren 720S GT3 Evo in the Gold Cup class for Alex Buncombe, Reece Barr and Tommy Foster.

RJN veteran Buncombe first drove for the team in 2007, and has won multiple Endurance Cup titles with them, including the overall drivers’ championship in 2015.

Last season, Buncombe drove for Team RJN in British GT, claiming victory at the Brands Hatch season finale.

Barr drove for Winward Racing in the Sprint Cup last season, taking a best finish of third in the Silver Cup class at Misano.
Foster is making the transition from prototypes to GT racing in 2025, having competed in the Michelin Le Mans Cup for the past three seasons. The British driver finished third in the LMP3 drivers’ standings last year, following a win and two further podium finishes.

“I am delighted to welcome Reece and Tommy,” said team boss Bob Neville.

“They are both very quick and will also benefit from driving alongside Alex who has a massive amount of experience. I know McLaren will be watching their progress with interest.”

“It’s great to be back in Europe again, I was last there in the Bentley in 2019,” added Buncombe.

“The Gold category is incredibly competitive, but we will fight for the championship. The key for us will be another good result in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.”

The 2025 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup begins with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11/12 April.
