APR & Flörsch Announce Strategic Partnership

Portuguese-flagged LMP2 team Algarve Pro Racing has announced a renewed collaboration with German racing driver Sophia Flörsch for the 2025 season.

Flörsch, who has been testing with APR at Paul Ricard this week, will join the team as a test and development driver, working closely with its technical and performance department throughout the year to prepare for a full racing campaign in 2026.

Her involvement will include an extensive testing programme, simulator work, and collaborative efforts with APR’s engineering team to continue advancing both her personal development and the team’s competitiveness in the LMP2 category.

“We’re thrilled to have Sophia back with us in a focused development capacity,” said Samantha Cox, team owner of Algarve Pro Racing.

“Sophia has enjoyed success with us previously and we plan to repeat that. As a successful Female in Motorsport, teaming up again with Sophia is a privilege and we are determined to showcase her talent.”

Flörsch added: “I’m back – and it feels incredible to return with APR! Stewart and Sam lead this team with relentless drive and true racing spirit. They push for performance day and night – and that’s exactly the environment I thrive in.

“I give everything, full commitment, full risk. Hard & constant work. It’s sweat, grit, and raw speed. No lifting. No hesitation. My dedication, my passion. Visibility should come from performance. I race for lap time and for real opportunities. Time to prove who the fastest is, the spirit of racing. That’s what I’ve found here at APR and in the ELMS.”

The team is set to share more details about its 2025 testing programme and future racing plans in the coming months.
