The 16 cars for the FIA GT World Cup are all on-site and ready to go for their first on-track action of the weekend.

So too is the 25-car Greater Bay Area GT Cup field, which includes 9 different manufacturers in the entry.
That grid includes a farewell outing in a Mercedes AMG GT4 for Craft Bamboo boss Darryl O’Young, who hangs up his helmet after this weekend.
The GT3s are based in the garages in the paddock at ground level, with the GT4s housed in the atmospheric surroundings of the underground car park beneath the paddock, together with the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZs that will contest the Roadsports Challenge.
Add in the TCR Touring Cars, Formula Regional and F4 single seaters and the absolutely bonkers bikes and there is pretty much constant on-track action for all four days of the meeting.

Proving to be quite a hit with the locals is (relatively) local hero Yifei Ye.
And, as is traditional, the queue for the Cinnamoroll-liveried Audi merchandise is frankly astonishing, already 100+ deep when the DSC Ed arrived early this morning.
Spotted in the paddock already are Alex Wurz, here to support his two racing sons, Charlie and Oscar, in the FR World Cup, Stuart Hall, supporting Benji Goethe, who makes his GT World Cup debut in a Rofgo-liveried Optimum McLaren. Benji’s brother, F2 racer Oliver Goethe, is stalking the paddock too. Come Ledogar is on site with his pair of Schumacher CLRT Porsches, and on driver advisor duty is multiple FIA WEC class winner Pedro Lamy.
