Iron Dames, Bovy & Van Den Hengel For GT2 Europe

The colours of the Iron Dames will feature on the GT2 European Series grid for the first time this year, aboard a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Sarah Bovy and Laura van den Hengel will start the year in a 992.1-spec machine, which is set to be replaced by an updated 992.2 Cup* car later this season, for an assault on the Pro/Am class.

Silver-rated Bovy is set to make her GT2 European Series debut, although the Belgian is no stranger to SRO rules racing, having made multiple appearances in GT World Challenge Europe competition over the years.

This GT2 Europe programme joins an outing at the 24 Hours of Spa with Comtoyou Racing on Bovy’s confirmed 2026 racing schedule.

“I joined the Iron Dames in 2021 and it changed my life,” Bovy said.

“Together we carry some incredibly important values, we bring a message to the world : when we are women driven by dreams, you can’t stop us. Racing with Laura in GT2 European Series is a great opportunity to bring some new milestones and you can count on us to fight with the strong spirit of the Iron Dames.”

Bronze-ranked Van den Hengel, meanwhile, is making the step up from GT Cup Open Europe, where she competed with Iron Dames support last year and won the Pro/Am drivers’ title last year alongside Paul Meijer.

“Racing alongside Sarah, with all her experience, is a huge opportunity for me to learn and grow throughout the season,” van den Hengel said. “After winning the championship last year, this feels like the start of an exciting new chapter in my career.”

This entry is the latest Iron Dames-supported effort to be announced for 2026, as the programme refocuses around supporting individual drivers

The 2026 GT2 European Series begins at Monza on 29th to 31st May 2026.
